![]() SPRING FLING HELD AT MGC Middle Georgia College recently held its Spring Fling on the Cochran campus. The event featured a 9-hole putting course, a Slam Dunk Basket Ball and Wrecking Ball Interactive Inflatables, Over and Under, Plinko, Corn Horn, and Ring on a String carnival games with prizes, provided by Your Event Source. Students could make funny-face Koozies and Sand Art in a vase to take home. There were also student team competitions, with each team competing in four events-volleyball, basketball free throw, soccer kick, and tug-of-war, with gift certificates from the MGC bookstore given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The Fashion Club also performed and helped organize a health booth with the Health Department, providing information on HIV and other health issues. Sodexo provided hamburgers and hotdogs, and cotton candy, snow cones, and popcorn were also available throughout the day. Melissa Baker, the MGC Coordinator of Student Activities, said the event was a success. “We had amazing weather and an excellent turnout of around 600 students. I wish to thank absolutely everyone who volunteered their time and help for the 2011 Spring Fling.” |
