 AVIATION CAMPUS HOLDS FALL PICNIC AND SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT (Cochran, GA) – The Aviation Campus of Middle Georgia College held its annual Fall Picnic on Thursday, November 15, with its 1st Annual Department Softball Tournament. While the softball tournament was ongoing, Women in Aviation held drawings every hour for various prizes. Tickets were purchased in advance to support their fundraiser. The Rotorhead’s Club held drawings for discovery flights for those who brought in toy donations for Toys for Tots. Richard Woolf was the winner of the SGA sponsored drawing for a new Kindle Fire HD. Tickets were given to students who brought in can food donations. Everyone also enjoyed ballpark themed food while watching the tournament. The teams entered into the tournament were from the Aircraft Structural Technology (The Mongrels), Aviation Maintenance Technology (Ball so Hard), Flight Airplane (The Mavericks) and Flight Helicopter (Wop Wop) departments. The final game came down between AST and AMT. The AMT Department’s team won the tournament with a final score of 11 to 9! |
