Mediation is a process in which third party neutrals, called Mediators, facilitate the process of resolving conflicts between parties. The mock mediation tournament encourages students to engage in this very beneficial form of conflict resolution. Students in diverse areas of study are exposed to the mediation process and peacemaking skills that are intended to enhance their self-confidence and creativity.
The MGC teams are now preparing for the National Invitational Tournament in Gainesville, Georgia. The Tournament is scheduled for November 1 -3. The two teams hope to excel at this Tournament in order to qualify for the International Mock Mediation Tournament to be held in Dubai, UAE, in January, 2013.
