![]() MGC HOSTS HEALTH FAIR (Cochran, GA) – The Middle Georgia College Science Club, Nursing Program, and Occupational Therapy Assistant Program recently hosted a Health Fair in Alderman Hall on the Cochran campus. Participants could take part in free clinical check-ups, eye exams, blood pressure measurement, blood glucose screening, nutritional analysis, arthritic hand massage, grip and pinch strength testing, mental health screening, and lung function tests. Training in self defense was also available. The event was cosponsored by the Georgia Commission on Women and the Georgia Women’s Institute. Dr. Deepa Arora, the Chair of the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering, said the Health Fair was a big success. “Over 230 students, faculty, and staff members visited the stations and participated in the activities available,” she said. “Members of the Science Club would like to thank all those who participated to make it successful and look forward to planning another one next year.” |
