Mission Statement

Unquestionably, the greatest asset of any entity, corporate or public, whether labor or technologically intensive, is its employees.

Human Resources is, therefore, dedicated to the college's mission through the recruitment, retention and advancement of qualified employees to achieve those goals and objectives defined by Middle Georgia College in its role as a member unit of the University System of Georgia.

As a service wing of the college, the Human Resources' mission is:

  • to enable Middle Georgia College to promote the diversity required to have a representative employment population;
  • to provide the infrastructure to foster the advancement and retention of qualified individuals;
  • and to provide the framework to support a work environment conducive to equitable treatment, positive reinforcement, and recognition of employees' contributions, regardless of their employment status.
