Middle Georgia College and Macon State College will be consolidating to form Middle Georgia State College (pending SACS approval) in January 2013 through an act of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Due to financial aid regulations and the enormity of this project our databases won't be fully consolidated until Fall 2013. Students applying for Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 will need to decide where the majority of their classes will be taken. This will determine which school they need to apply to for financial aid.
Students who will take the majority of their classes through Macon or Warner Robins will need to apply to Macon State. Students who will take the majority of their classes on the Cochran, Dublin or Eastman campus will need to apply to Middle Georgia College. Failure to submit documentation correctly will result in acceptance and awarding delays. If you have questions of where to apply please contact the Admission Office and/or Financial Aid Office at either school and they will be glad to assist you.
Current students who wish to take classes for Spring 2013 and/or Summer 2013 at Macon/Warner Robins and Cochran/Dublin/Eastman will need to apply for transient status at their home institution. Home institution is defined as the school where you are receiving your financial aid. If you have question about how to apply for transient status, please contact the Registrar's Office at either school and they will be glad to assist you. Please note that current students who wish to take ALL of their classes at a new campus will need to apply to the appropriate college as a transfer student and have all admission and financial aid documents sent to the school (e.g., Middle Georgia
College students who wish to take all of their classes at the Macon campus will need to apply as a transfer student to Macon State College for spring or summer 2013).
