![]() MGC HOSTS POET QUEEN SHEBA (Cochran, GA) – Middle Georgia College recently hosted spoken word poet Queen Sheba in the Student Center in Georgia Hall. Sheba performed inspirational pieces that dealt with love, cultural issues, and her own personal anecdotes before engaging in a question and answer session with students. Sheba has been an artist for 10 years, has toured in over eight countries, and is a national Poetry Slam Champion. She is the co-founder of the Rough Language Music and Poetry Series, and is the founder, writer, and producer of “Say What?!?!,” a national collegiate performance word-shop. Sheba has been published in Essence magazine, and runs various poetry readings and slams in Atlanta. The event was sponsored by the Cochran Campus Student Activity Board. |
