MGC COCHRAN SAB PRESENTS COMEDIAN MO AMER

(Cochran, GA) – Middle Georgia College recently featured comedian Mo Amer, who spoke about his experiences as an Arab-American refugee in America after 9/11. In his routine, Amer spoke about his struggle to fit in after moving to Texas from Kuwait at age nine during the Gulf War, and the difficulties he had in gaining citizenship. Amer has performed in over two dozen countries on five continents, and his solo show, “Legally Homeless: Trials of a Refugee,” is currently in development for a feature length docu-comedy. The event was sponsored by the Cochran Campus Student Activity Board.
