MIDDLE GEORGIA COLLEGE DUBLIN CAMPUS HOLDS FALL FESTIVAL

(Cochran, GA) – The Middle Georgia College Dublin Campus recently held a week long Fall Festival that culminated with a Carnival for students, faculty and staff, and community members. The Festival started with a kickoff breakfast of free Chick-fil-A for students. Jump 2 It also came to campus and brought cotton candy, sno cones, spin art, and popcorn, as well as a large inflatable basketball goal. Throughout the week, there were tournaments with prizes for students including pool, volleyball, gaming, cornhole, and ping pong. The Carnival featured a Dublin–Laurens Humane Society Pet Adoption, as well as the Dublin Fire Department. A costume contest, carnival booths for kids and adults, and free popcorn, drinks, and candy were also featured. The Fall Festival was sponsored by the Dublin Student Government Association.

The Dublin campus Student Services Coordinator, Scotty Rainwater, said the event was a success. “I am very excited about these events and their success,” he said. “I especially like the Carnival because it gave us an opportunity to serve our non-traditional students with families, as well as reach out to the community. There were so many students that came out for these events. What I have found at MGC Dublin is an enthusiastic and involved student body that wants to have events on campus and enjoy the social aspects of college as well as the academic.”
