 OCONEE EMC SCHOLARSHIP DONATION (Cochran, GA) – On November 10, 2011, Alexis Hughes of the Oconee EMC Foundation presented a check to the Middle Georgia College Foundation in the amount of $5,000 to be used for the Oconee EMC Scholarship. The Oconee EMC Foundation uses “Operation Round-up” to encourage its power customers to give back to their community by rounding the amount of their power bill to the next dollar. The most the customer can have in round-ups is $12 per year, but every dollar counts and has made a big difference for many organizations such as the MGC Foundation. |
