Transportation

Mission

The purpose of Student Transportation is to provide quality transportation for faculty, staff and students. Students are eligible for transport for certain college functions, doctor's appointments, and emergencies.

Physical Plant should be contacted first to determine vehicle availability. If a suitable vehicle is available, a Trip Ticket and Request for Transportation Form should be completed, approved and delivered to Physical Plant. Requests for vehicles must be received by Physical Plant at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure to insure proper service. For insurance purposes vehicles will not be delivered or allowed to leave campus prior to receiving a completed and approved form. A copy of the drivers' license must be on file with Plant Operations before departure.

Vehicles are to be returned in the condition they were received. It is the responsibility of the driver or the department using the vehicle to remove any litter from the vehicle that resulted from that specific trip.

The Trip Ticket and Request for Transportation Form is used to account for mileage and all expenses purchased during the trip. The driver is responsible for keeping up with any expenses (gas or oil) used during the trip. A separate trip ticket must be completed for each vehicle used.
