About Coach Scott Moe

Coach Scott Moe enters his ninth season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Middle Georgia College. The Warriors are coming off a season that produced a lot of first for Coach Moe during his tenure at MGC. The Warriors earned Moe his first GJCAA Conference Championship; they also claimed Moe his first Region XVII Championship by defeating Coastal Georgia College 92-89 in the Championship Game.
Moe was also named Region XVII Coach of the Year. The Warriors finished the 2009-10 season with a 29-5 record, and the Warriors made their first trip to the NJCAA National Tournament in 30 years. The Warriors finished ninth in the nation in the final NJCAA Men's Basketball Division I Poll. The highest finish by a Coach Moe team during his time here at MGC.
Moe has an overall record of 154-93 as the Men's Head Coach at MGC. Moe spent his first year at MGC as the Head Women's Coach, posting a 16-13 record with the Lady Warriors. Moe's overall record stands at 170-106. "Last season was a dream season, and the experiences I shared throughout the year with my players, coaches and family will be unforgettable," states Moe.
Moe started his coaching career at Duluth High School in Duluth, Georgia. He spent three seasons as an assistant football and basketball coach. From there Moe joined the basketball staff at Valdosta State University. Moe served nine years as an assistant to James Dominey of Vienna, Georgia. My years at VSU were great preparation for me to become a Head Coach, and learning from Coach Dominey was invaluable to me," states Moe.
Moe is a 1982 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. He lettered in basketball while at South. He received his Bachelor's in Math Education from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana in 1987. He also lettered as a defensive back in football at AU. In 1991 Moe received his Masters in Physical Education at Valdosta State University.
Moe is the proud father of three children. Zackary (17) is a junior at Bleckley County High School. Kiley (13) is a seventh grader at Bleckley County middle school and Macy (10) is a fourth grader at Bleckley County Elementary School.
