Welcome to the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering! Our Division is home to several career and transfer programs offered at Middle Georgia College. If you are interested in a career/professional program, we have several options for you including Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Surveying-Geomatics. In addition, we offer the first two years of a variety of programs including Engineering, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary Medicine as well as pre-health professions like Medicine, Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Optometry, Physician's Assistant, and Respiratory Therapy.
Whether you are interested in obtaining an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Middle Georgia College is an excellent place to work towards your goal. The Associate of Science in Nursing degree prepares the individual for eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse. The Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Middle Georgia College is designed to provide its students with the professional competence and professional attitudes required to function as entry-level occupational therapy assistants. It is also designed to provide them with the expertise necessary to pass the national certification exam for Occupational Therapy Assistants. We offer transfer programs in Engineering with a choice of majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer, or Aerospace to name a few. The Division also offers the Regents Engineering Transfer Program (RETP) which gives students the opportunity to transfer to the Georgia Institute of Technology to complete their degree requirements upon successful completion of the pre-engineering curriculum at MGC. What is your position in the World? Let us help you establish your position in the world! Join the Surveying-Geomatics Program at Middle Georgia College. The Surveying-Geomatics Program at MGC offers an online Associate's Degree in Surveying that includes all of the courses necessary to qualify for the Land Surveyor Licensure Exams in Georgia. In addition, if you need continuing education courses, coursework for licensure by comity or want to expand your knowledge base, online certificates in Geomatics, Hydrology & Hydraulics, Public Works and Surveying are available for you. Many transfer to the University of Georgia, Georgia Health Sciences University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Georgia Southern University.
